Hosting various veteran and expert medical professionals with celebrated careers, Seekmed makes it easy for patients to get an expert, first or second opinion on a range of medical concerns. Instead of calling in for appointments, waiting for long hours, and traveling to the center, you can log on to the Seekmed website, book and appoint, and consult with your preferred medical practitioner—all from the comfort of your home. Technology is all about convenience, and Seekmed leverages cutting-edge technology to bring healthcare services and consultation a step closer to people.

Project Details

When the client approached us to develop the website, their chief concern was to make a website that was fast, easy to use, and effortless to manage. From the first interaction with the client, we decided to go with a user-friendly design that facilitated faster and shorter navigation. We also realized that it was better to go with a more visual approach to present the features and services of the website than any other means. In the initial stage of the website development, we decided to create a design keeping in mind the functionalities and features that the website would have at the end. This helped us develop a design that complemented the website's performance.

Challenges

Challenge #1:

Ensuring Uncompromised Performance of the Website

Solution:

Right from the beginning, we realized that the website has to handle huge amounts of data of users, doctors, pharmacies, laboratories, and other functionalities. The website also used search engines to find doctors and services, so the performance had to be top-notch. The video consultation functionality was another element where performance cannot be compromised. Hence, we used a highly advanced and swift server for the website. The data was also stored so that it could be accessed easily when requested without interfering with the website’s load and response speed.

Challenge #2:

Making It Easier to Select A Doctor

Solution:

The website's core functionality was helping patients select the right doctor for their condition. Hence, we linked each doctor’s profile with their detailed info that the users can view and choose the doctor. This made the selection easier and more relevant to the users.

Challenge #3:

Sharing Medical Documents and Details

Solution:

Since patients need to share documents and details of their previous medical history, we made document sharing easier for the users by providing the option to attach the same so that doctors can view the same and review it. The documents and details are stored in a secured server with extensive access control systems.

Challenge #4:

Providing value-Added Medical Services

Solution:

The concept of the website was not only to provide medical consultation and expert medical advice but also to offer value-added services. Hence, we integrated the website with the options that users can use to find details of medical treatments in India, health packages, laboratory services, and pharmacies. We ensured that these features were on the website's home page without overshadowing the site's core feature.

Challenge #5:

Streamlining the process

Solution:

To streamline the overall process, we made the admin the center of every activity. So, all the forms are sent directly to the admin's email. The admin, then, hands out the details to their team and the team members facilitate communication between the users and the doctors.
